Try the rub I used

Silly Bubba’s Carolina Gold

Base Rub:

  • 1/4 cup Kosher Salt

  • 1/4 cup Sweet Paprika

  • 2 Tbsp Black Pepper (coarse grind, 16-mesh)

  • 2 Tbsp Granulated Garlic

  • 2 Tbsp Granulated Onion

  • 1 Tbsp Chili Powder

  • 1 tsp Mustard Powder

  • 1 tsp Ground Celery Seed (optional)

Add These to Make It Carolina Gold Style:

  • 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar

  • 1 Tbsp Ground Mustard

  • 1 tsp Turmeric

  • 1 tsp White Pepper

  • 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger

  • 1/2 tsp Smoked PaprikaCarolina Gold BBQ rubs are mustard-forward with a sweet, peppery kick. Turmeric brings signature color, while brown sugar, mustard, and white pepper create a tangy-sweet blend that matches the golden sauce style. Ideal for pork shoulder, pulled chicken, or anything drizzled with Carolina Gold sauce.
